  • 📌The AGBU AVC team visited the House-Museum of the renowned Armenian poet Paruyr Sevak, celebrated for his significant contributions to the Armenian literature. During our visit, we learned about Sevak’s life and his poetic legacy. 🔎We explored Sevak's former residence, including his home and the yard, and visited the site of his burial beneath his father’s apricot tree. ✨We are happy to share some photos from our visit, highlighting Paruyr Sevak's life and work as part of Armenia’s cultural heritage. 🔖 Paruyr Sevak House-Museum / Պարույր Սևակի տուն-թանգարան #AGBU #AVC #Armenia #Explore #With #Us #Learn #elearning #Paruyr #Sevak #Zangakatun

I attended small private Armenian schools in Beirut, first Demirdjian and then Hovagimian-Manougian, both located not far from the Green Line separating Muslim West Beirut from Christian East Beirut.” 🔷 “My life has been full of directions I never imagined. As an 18-year-old refugee from Lebanon, I had no idea I would become a scientist, and certainly not the recipient of a Nobel Prize.” – Medicine Laureate Ardem Patapoutian. 🔹 Read more about the molecular biologist, neuroscientist, and Nobel Prize laureate of Armenian descent here: https://lnkd.in/ebJbQ8Vm 🔸 AGBU Armenian Virtual College has also prepared a short documentary about Dr. Patapoutian’s unique characteristics as a modern-day hero symbolizing AGBU. 🔶 Watch the documentary and learn about the life and success of the Armenian Nobel Prize Laureate here: https://lnkd.in/eMHZP96t #ArdemPatapoutian #Armenia #NobelPrize #Nobel #Prize #Armenian #AGBU #AVC #Yerevan #Medicine

  • 🇦🇲Today, on May 9, the Armenian people come together to commemorate Victory and Peace Day. 🔺With pride, we reflect on the bravery and sacrifices of our nation during World War II, which gave rise to 4 Armenian marshals and the renowned Admiral Isakov. 🔻For the Armenian people, May 9 is also the day of the formation of the Artsakh Defense Army and the liberation of #Shushi. 🔺Despite many challenges the Armenian people faced in their history, we must continue to stand strong and united with our homeland. Let's keep hope alive and honor the legacy of our heroes!

  • ✅ The AGBU Armenian Virtual College has established a longstanding collaboration with the Armenian Community Center of Rostov-on-Don, Russia, within the framework of the AVC Hybrid Program. As a key component of our educational process, social events play an important role in enhancing the learning experience for our e-learners. ☑ During the recent social events, students e-visited the Cafesjian Center for the Arts and virtually toured the Cascade with the help of the AVC online instructor Gohar Gevorgyan, and their local teacher Armine Hovsepyan. The AVC e-learners also had another social event commemorating the 155th anniversary of Hovhannes Tumanyan. ✅ We sincerely appreciate the great dedication of the teacher Armine Hovsepyan and her efforts in facilitating these experiences for our e-learners. As we reflect on past successes, we look forward to further collaboration and the continued growth of our partnership with the Armenian community of Rostov-on-Don. #AGBU #AVC #Virtual #College #Learn #with #us #Yerevan #Հայաստան #elearning #onlinelearning #online #rostovondon #followerseveryone #follower #StayTuned #Cascade #Cafesjian #Parajanov #event #collaboration

  • 🍇Wine-making is one of the oldest industries in Armenia. We know about this from the works of famous philosophers such as #Xenophon or #Strabo. 📍According to a local legend, Areni village in Vayots Dzor region was where Noah and his sons planted the first grape vines. 🍷Nowadays, the village is best known for its wine production and vineyards. 🏞️ #Areni is also the name of a grape variety endemic to this area. For some time, Armenia’s prominent alcoholic beverage was brandy. But recently, its once-famous wine culture began to reemerge and take on new forms. ⛰️The discovery of a cave in Areni put Armenia amongst the oldest wine-making cultures in the world. The archeological findings revealed that wine was made in the region at least six thousand years ago. It was an important part of the economy and trade and played a big role in religious symbolism, rituals and burial ceremonies as early as the Stone Age. ✅Discover more of Vayots Dzor’s hidden gems and historic wonders with our multimedia e-book here➡️ https://lnkd.in/e4qEub5X 🍇Recently, the AGBU AVC team visited the Vayots Dzor region to learn more about the wine-making culture in Armenia. We had a chance to visit the “Hin Areni Vineyards” Hin Areni Wine, enjoy the tour full of #history and cultural #information, see how the #wine was made there, and learn a lot about wine and wine-making culture. #Armenia #Wine #WineMaking #Armenian #Culture #VayotsDzor #Armenian #Region #Learn #with #us #AGBU #AVC

  • 🟥Meet AGBU Armenian Virtual College e-learner Francesco Giommoni from Italy, who shares a personal story of discovering the rich Armenian culture through various turns of events and personal connections. 🟦After many years with AVC, Francesco is still an active AGBU AVC e-learner and an avid Armenian language and culture enthusiast. 🟧“I would have never imagined that after 4 years I would have completed 4 courses of Eastern Armenian, 3 courses of Western Armenian (currently attending the 4th), and 2 courses of Armenian History (currently attending the 3rd) at AVC.” ⬜️“My knowledge of the Armenian language was zero but now I can read texts in Armenian quite well. Unfortunately, I have never had the chance to visit Armenia, and this implies that my spoken Armenian is not as good as my writing and reading, but I am working on that too,” he says. 🟥Fortunately, in addition to self-study lessons, the AVC program of studies includes one- on-one sessions with the online instructor, as well as various social events and group gatherings to make practicing spoken language easier. 🟦“I would really like to complete all courses offered by AVC because I personally think that they are really well done, and the teachers, in my case Marine Khachaturyan and Ani Dekirmenchyan, have always been friendly and helpful with the students, making me more interested in Armenian language and culture.” 🟧Read the whole story here: https://lnkd.in/dTwKHu_k #AGBU #AVC #studentsuccess #Student #Learn #With #Us #Insight #Armenia #Language #online #learning
